This week's Banyule and Nillumbik Weekly features an interview with new Banyule Mayor, Tom Melican, who among other things spoke about the Ivanhoe structure plan.
"We also need to work towards a satisfactory outcome for the Ivanhoe structure plan. I realise it will be controversial but a plan is better than no plan. If we don't have a plan we're at the mercy of VCAT and developers. Height is an issue but I think design and built form are just as important. We need buildings that complement and blend with their surroundings"
