In 2009 Banyule Council released a Housing Strategy Paper which included a map of all activity centres in the municipality. The Ivanhoe Activity Centre boundary in the 2009 paper was about a 5th of the size of the boundary in the current proposed plan. It mainly centred around the Upper Heidelberg Rd shopping strip. It excluded Darebin Station, Heidelberg Rd, Lower Heidelberg Rd, Marshall St, Fairy Hills, the bowling green precinct and most of Livingstone St.
What has happened in the last 2 years to justify such a huge increase in the size of the activity centre?
We've added a new page to the website that compares the 2009 activity centre boundary with the 2011 activity centre boundary.
